Independent Bank was founded to provide products and services to individuals and businesses who desire a higher level of customer service from bankers who know them and appreciate their needs.

Our Founding Members:

Jack Buchanan - Chairman of the Board and Principal Organizer. Jack has over 40 years of bank management experience. He will oversee the operations of the Bank from his postion on the Board.  As a long-time Georgetown businessman, Jack is a respected community real estate developer.

Denny Buchanan - President and CEO. Denny has over 25 years of bank management experience. He is responsible for the daily operations of the Bank and will build the Austin loan portfolio.   He specializes in Real Estate and Commercial Lending and is highly respected for the level of customer service he provides.

Julie Buchanan - Executive Vice President - Operations/Cashier. Julie has over 10 years of banking experience. She is credited with chartering the bank with the FDIC and Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending and will directly oversee the daily operations of our organization including deposit and loan operations, IT, branch operations, financial management, human resources, compliance management, Board reporting and Regulator liasion.
